Saturday we ate breakfast at the hotel and it was incredibly terrible. Nick's english muffins were burnt, the french toast was gross and the coffee was worse than usual. We decided to go on a walk and get some better coffee. We went to this place called Moore Coffee which had the coolest cold brew "machine" i have ever seen.
Ice melting into the coffee and then dripping into a pitcher shaped like a head
Everything about this place is overly cute. I got a cappuccino and Nick got an americano. It was a bit rainy outside so we just sat down and enjoyed ourselves and tried to make up for the terrible breakfast.
The foam was so incredibly think!
He's such a cutie! I've been making him wear this beenie.
Hi
We then walked down to first street and Nick bought a really great pair of jeans. We took our time and he tried on a lot of different fits. Then we went on a hunt for running shoes for me, so if i wanted to go to the gym i would have something to wear. It took forever and we had no luck. I ended up at home looking at shoes online for so long i started feeling ill. I really want these shoes though. I even dreamt about them last night.

The next morning, Sunday, we walked down to Pike Place market to get Nick a new pair of glasses. We didn't want another terrible breakfast so we found The Crumpet Shop and decided to go there. It was a really great decision. The food was really rich and warm and wonderful. The crumpets were really moist. The cappuccino i ordered was gross but they overheard me say something and they made me a new one that was so much better. After that we walked over to Market Optical and Nick tried on some glasses. The first pair he tried on ended up being the ones.
I wanted to check out a thrift store that was south of downtown so Nick and i went on a walk. The area we ended up in, Pioneer Square, was really pretty. It was quieter, there were a lot more old brick buildings and the trees were all bigger and greener. We randomly found a waterfall which was cool, then came upon a really pretty courtyard full of homeless people hanging out and smoking weed, and later walked past a couple art galleries, one was open so we went in. It was interesting. We found the thrift store but it was closed so we just made our way back to the hotel. It was Father's Day so we called our dads, mine didn't answer, and spent the rest of the day just relaxing inside the hotel.
Sunshine and rain
On first street between Pine and Pike
The Green Eggs and Ham, the eggs were green because they put pesto in them. It was really good.
The first pair
These were in the running for a while but we decided the top of the rims were too big.
He looks so0o cute!
A really quaint alleyway
A character from a video game Nick recognized.
The Courtyard, the homeless people were to the right of the picture. I liked this sign a lot.
A large bird nest that had fallen out of a tree
The waterfall we found
Inside the same area the waterfall was but looking out towards the street
The installation at the art gallery
The pink puffy things are so weird haha
The artist's name and the title of the exhibit
Monday i spent the morning watercoloring. And the afternoon on the computer.
The clouds are so wonderfully fluffy!!
Yoshimoto Nara tribute "Seattle Summer 2014"
Yoshimoto Nara is a really great artist and i love his work so i decided to do some watercoloring in his style. I usually am terrible at watercoloring so it was good practice. I really like how it turned out!
This is one of Yoshimoto Nara's pieces
Another of his. I love how dreamy it feels
Something about his work is so charming yet so grumpy. Reminds me of myself
When Nick got home we went to the YMCA with his brother and brother's girlfriend to work out. I'm not one for working out but when i do work out i give it my all. I did so many squats that it was hard to walk for the next three days.
