We walked around a little and then, feeling tired, decided to spend the rest of the day inside. I decided i wanted to make postcards as apposed to buying them, so i went out to find an art supplies store. I wandered around looking for one that i thought i had seen, but couldn't find it. I stopped in the pike market and asked some kids working one of the produce arcades, who both had no idea, but both offered me some great things; one kept giving me slices of fresh peaches, the other suggested i ask the information booth. I did check the information booth and caught the man right as he was locking up to go to lunch. He sent me to Arron Brother's and Framing, where i bought a drawing pad and talked to the girl at the register. She told me about Daniel Smith Art Supplies which she described as a large warehouse of art supplies located in the industrial District. I definitely plan on checking it out. I window shopped a bit, found a cool umbrella store where they make and sell and rent umbrellas, and spent the rest of the day watching shitty cable tv in bed while drawing up some postcard ideas. It was a very lazy sunday.

The next day i slept in really late because hotel beds are especially soft and cozy in the morning, hungout in my p.j.s till 2, and made a pretty good cucumber tomato salad. I met one of the housekeeping women, a very sweet chinese woman who speaks VERY little english. We talked, or attempted to talk, while she changed the sheets. Her name was Liyi (lee-jee, but a very soft j), i think she said she was from China though when i pulled up a map of China on my computer for her, she didn't point at anything and only said "Colorado". She asked me about the pictures i have on my beside table of my family and friends. She was a super sweet lady.
After that i finally got dressed and went to the Market to make some postcards. I made one of a white beluga whale lying on a beach in a sexy pose and the postcard reads "Wish You Were Here" and another i based off a picture i took of some fish in the market. After that i realized i could just draw all my postcards from pictures i take around the city. I started walking around the Market to get ideas. I took some pictures of fish and people and the likes and i hope to spend tomorrow drawing up some more postcards.
I made potatoes and onion with butter in the microwave and threw some fresh tomato on top for dinner. It was really good. I'm definitely eating pretty well for not having a stove. I just wish i had a freezer so i could buy ice cream for dessert!
