On my way to the ferry dock, there was a guy trimming this ivy. It was floating down towards the street i was on. It looked like giant green snowflakes
A foot bridge, from (probably around) first street to the ferry dock, has this great art piece on it that shows a box growing into a forest or a forest being put into a box (depending on the direction you walk down the bridge of course)
These are just a few of the whole thing. It was about 20 images all together, maybe more
Love the little bicyclists
But the whales were my favorite
Double decker freeway
Cars lining up for the ferry
Here it comes!
Taking a picture of my reflection
Loading time from the water taxi dock
On the water taxi, a smaller, passengers only, version of the ferry that also doesn't go as far
The view leaving the docks and heading towards West Seattle
The cargo ships and loading docks to the south
Poe, in the sun, yawning
It was just perfect out
And so0o many jellies!
The beach, Elliot Bay, and Downtown Seattle
Some wildberry bushes along the shore
A small dock, and you can see how to sea wall wraps around and the rocks follow to break up the waves whenever there are any
A large tree on Alki Beach, which was looking very inviting and sandy
Some of the stores along Alki Beach
Poe, being patient as we eat lunch
So, after the water taxi, Katie and i walked along Alki beach for a long time with Poe, just talking, and laughing, till we were hungry, so we got lunch, and then headed back to Downtown. Once back in the city, we got a donut at Top Pot, so i could use their bathroom, then we met with Nick at a bus stop, and bused up to Capitol Hill to this great ramen place where met up with Kaite's friend Scott and Chris. Chris actually interns with Nick at Amazon, on the same floor of the same building and they hadn't met before, so that was funny. I ended up being allergic to my ramen and had a sunburnt nose from the day out in the sun at Alki, so i looked like a red nosed, red lipped clown for the rest of the night. After Ramen we headed over to this great little bar called The Stumbling Monk where we had some beers and played the card game Apples to Apples until Nick had to head home to go to sleep.
it got colder and cloudy
A ferry out in the distance
Back on the water taxi
Looking North at Puget Sound
It was so0o pretty!
Poe, admiring the view
Back to downtown
A polar bear!
At The Stumbling Monk, a little bar on Capitol Hill, blurry Katie and Scott
The bathroom was great
After we finished our beers at The StumblingMonk, we had planned on going to see Kaite's friend's band, Horace Pickett*, play at a venue called Lofi, so we headed down to watch the show. We ended up being late by an hour or so but the band hadn't even started yet so it worked out great. The band was really fun, danceable music, and mostly just reminded me of DEVO. There were maybe 10 other people there, the venue was tiny, and the band was great. We danced for a good amount of time till it got too late. We left the Lofi and it was drizzling, which felt so good because i was so sweaty! We walked up to where Scott parked his car and got some Dick's (which is a fast food chain that has been said to be the equivalent of In n' Out, though In 'n Out is better, but In n' Out isn't that good either) because we were all a little hungry and also it just made sense to drunkenly get Dick's late at night. After that Katie picked up a car2go and drove me home, only, when we hangout, we can talk for hours, so we ended up just driving around Seattle till 2 am. She brought me past Gas Works Park, and showed me the Fremont Troll, and drove me over some of the cool bridges in the area before dropping me off at the hotel. It was probably one of the best and funnest night i have had on my whole trip here in Seattle.
At the LoFi watching Katie's friend's band, Horace Pickett play. They were pretty good! I danced a Lot
And we left the venue to get rained on
It was more of a drizzle though
Fans Ice
Dick's ! the In n' Out of Seattle!
And this guy playing some really great bass flute (?) to the drunks eating at Dick's at 1 AM
Scott looking not amused, Chris looking Very amused, Katie not looking
I got to see the troll. At night, he seems a lot more alive
The next day Katie, poe and i met for lunch at Madison Park Beach, which sits on the west side of Washington Lake and the East side of Capitol Hill. We had a really yummy, fresh lunch from Essential Bakery. After eating, we headed over to Gas Works Park which is in Fremont, North of Downtown, just above Union Lake. Gas Works Park is great because it's got this big hill right on Union Lake, giving it this wonderful view of Downtown Seattle. I took so many pictures and couldn't decide on the best ones so i just posted most of them. After that we went back to Capitol Hill and got ice cream at this place that just makes the best ice cream, ever. It's called Molly Moon's, and they use such great ingredients and have such rich flavor, i want it all the time. I skipped going to the gym because ice cream sounded like more fun, so i ended up hanging out with Katie and Poe and Katie's boyfriend Matt and we all got dinner together at Rancho Bravo, this cheap little mexican food joint that used to be a KFC. It's really good.
Madison Park Beach, looking out over Lake Washington
Same as above but looking North East instead of South East
Yummies from Essential Bakery; that sandwich was the yummiest sandwich i have ever eaten.
Looking North over Washington Lake at no particular point of interest
We drove through the Arboretum on our way to Gas Works Park
The big hill everyone sits on at Gas Works
The old refinery, and how the park got it's name
Looking South East over Union Lake at Capitol Hill, Downtown is on the far right
On a clear day, Mt Rainer would be centered in this picture
Capitol Hill on the left, Downtown in the middle, Queen Anne on the right
Looking out at Queen Anne
Looking North West at Queen Anne and the bridge that takes you into Ballard
More of the refinery
Heading back to Capitol Hill

This makes me sort of want to live in Seattle.
